The Doctor and The Saint by Arundhati Roy

It reignites the debate between Ambedkar and Gandhi on caste system. In this debate the subject is caste which was astutely comprehended by Ambedkar as "a multi storeyed tower with no staircase and no entrance. Everybody had to die in the storey they were born in". It conveys a holistic picture of egregious form of untouchability prevailing then and also at present. The chapter "The Cactus Grove" provides lot of real information about Dr.Ambedkar, whose editions and ideology are hidden or narrated in a perverted form in main stream. As M.K.Gandhi's mahatmahood was peeled off by author, the fulcrum of debate turned towards Dr.Ambedkar, leaving Mohandas Gandhi without any substance to argue with.

       In current scenario, India needs "Gandhi and Ambedkar" rather than "Gandhi vs Ambedkar". Indeed reading it would definitely enriches one's understanding of Indian society.

2g verdict

2g scam aka "mother of all scams" verdict was pronounced by Delhi high court which acquitted all the accused. Though verdict is highly shocking, I tried my best to analyze it without any prejudices. Here we go,

It all started with the report of  Vinoth rai, former CAG stated 2g allocation resulted in 1,76,000 crores rupee presumptive ( presumption )loss. One-man lokpal aka subramania swamy filed the case in  Supreme Court. But he was relieved of the case as UPA Govt invoked CBI to file it. O.P saini ( propounded the verdict ) said case lost its enthusiasm in the midway.

Let us see how it lost its enthusiasm,
Ashok tiwari IPS who is No.2 in cbi was blown out to his home cadre Himachal Pradesh. Rajeshwar singh IPS played a major role in prosecuting chidambaram former finance minister has been cornered.

As per O.P.saini the major ignorance is the documentary evidences submitted by CBI is not attested by senior officers even after repeated remainders by high court which made these meaningless. This turned the tables in favour of all the accused.

Let me  pinpoint the allegations without beating around the bush.
# spectrum allocated in 2008-09 but based on 2001 prices
# though companies were ready to bid for more than 13000 crores with revenue sharing mechanism they were allotted to swan telecom and unitech for just 1234 crore rupees
# policy was changed from auctioning mechanism to first come first serve policy which was also later changed to first come first pay policy by advancing the dates
#bank drafts prepared retrospectively is proven
# Supreme Court  quashed the 2g allocation based on proven charges

Why Bhagat singh is atheist

While reading the article on Bhagat I just admired how the rationality element shall elevate a person morally!!!  But inspite of my admirations, I also have some questions for Bhagat.

1 though he clearly clarifies about his atheist thinking evolvement as a matter of rationality not as product of pride and vanity, why his definition of theism is too narrow?

2 he clearly questioned the customary practices efficacy by applying reason,
But whether his short life span made him unable to read and understand the fundamental commonalities of all religion?

According to my view, Gandhiji's religion into the politics wanted to serve the society spiritually whereas Bhagat's service to mankind is purely based on rationality the commonality between two is HUMANITY - basic necessity of evolving homosapiens.

Aramm movie review

Film is relatively shorter but in that duration it takes us to a real scenario rather than some fiction stuff.
The story deals with a poor painter (father), daily labourer (mother), swimming champ (brother) and a sweet girl.
Nayanthara as a DM of the district has been introduced as a people's officer

       The main plot begins when the innocent and playful girl falls into the borewell.
Though collector dedicatedly works for the people, she can't deliver with poorly oiled machinery.

   Inspite of unresponsive machinery, politicians gives ample pressure to her to not arrest the accused.

       She now chose to react as a common woman rather than imprisoning herself within its precincts.

     For her effort she was awarded with the notice of enquiry.

   The story ends with her strong decision keeping in mind of people and her future course of action.
 
The moment when she saved the child the tears crossed it's boundary.
